The Grand Ballroom
Our heritage listed Grand Ballroom is finished in the rich hues of its original colour scheme; a resplendent setting with soaring stained glass domes and windows and two large marble fireplaces. A wooden dance floor is concealed under the carpet, and can be revealed for wedding dances and other celebratory occasions. Sitting at 310 square metres in size, the Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 350 guests for a cocktail party, 200 for a banquet, and 180 for a wedding reception with dance floor.
The Bourke Room
The beautiful Bourke Room is our hotel’s newest venue. It is also the largest, at 536 square metres. Circular in shape with windows overlooking Bourke and Spring streets, The Bourke Room is finished in classic white with a stunning charcoal carpet and dance floor. Classic, contemporary and minimal, the space is a backdrop that can be tailored to your desired theme. The Bourke Room is set across three tiered levels, and can accommodate 180 guests for dinner with a dance floor.
Wallis & Ed
Wallis & Ed - named after King Edward III and Wallis Simpson - is the most contemporary of our function spaces with darkwood floors, concrete walls, a private bar, and indoor and outdoor seating options. The space overlooks the upper end of Bourke Street, with floor to ceiling arched windows that let in an abundance of natural light. Wallis & Ed is suited to intimate weddings and special celebrations.
The Canberra Room
Measuring 120 square metres, the handsome Canberra Room is an excellent setting for bridal showers or intimate wedding celebrations. It features original artwork in gold-gilded frames, a majestic gold-gilded antique mirror and select pieces of antique furniture.
Weddings here can be set up in two configurations - banquet style (60 guests) or a single long table (30 guests).
The Winston Room
Our intimate Winston Room was the hotel’s original dining room in the late 19th century. Featuring tall, elegant windows that flood the room with natural light, it is a beautiful, romantic setting for bridal showers, small weddings and private dining parties. The Winston Room seats 30 guests in a banquet setting or 24 guests on a long table.
