High Tea experiences are abound in Melbourne, but The Windsor is the only place to hold the distinction of 140 years of Afternoon Tea service. Join us in continuing this ritual – with a twist of the Windsor’s creativity – with our Afternoon Tea in the One Eleven dining room.

The Experience

Step past the brass doors of our hotel and settle in for Afternoon Tea, with Sparkling Wine or Champagne poured on arrival, and a selection of 11 specialty teas, including one made just for us: The Windsor blend.

We are proud to offer dietary accommodations, including coeliac and gluten-free Afternoon Teas and a suite of other dietary requirements. Please leave a note in your reservation booking for our pastry chefs to craft a dedicated stand for you or your guests. 

We also welcome special occasions - from birthdays to bridal showers, baby showers and wedding anniversaries.

Reservations for Afternoon Tea open 90 days in advance. The Windsor reserves the right to change the menu items and prices without prior notice. Advance notice is required for guests with dietary requirements.

A 15% surcharge is applied on Public Holidays.

*Excludes public holidays. Wednesday to Friday in One Eleven tea lounge until 31st October 2024 only. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. Does not extend to event bookings. A Seniors Card must be presented to redeem the offer.

Afternoon Tea

French sparkling wine on arrival, a choice of specialty tea or Melbourne-roasted coffee, our tiered stand of savoury canapes, ribbon sandwiches and petit desserts, and a scone service with our own strawberry jam and double cream. Featuring the chocolate fountain during the Victorian school holidays.

Booking Information

BOOKINGS
Afternoon Tea sittings are for a duration of two hours and open 90 days in advance. Reservations are recommended.

DIETARY REQUESTS
We offer a vegetarian afternoon tea, vegan afternoon tea, gluten free afternoon tea, and tailor stands for pregnant guests. For other dietary requirements, please contact Reservations on 03 9633 6189. Please note that dietary requests must be advised at the time of booking, and that we are unable to accommodate menu changes on the day.

PAYMENT
Credit card details are required to confirm your booking with payment taken on the day. A credit card processing fee of 1.3% (MasterCard and Visa) or 1.76% (American Express) applies. 

CANCELLATION & CHANGES
We understand that plans may change. Please advise us of any changes or cancellations 48 hours prior to your reservation. In the event of a late cancellation or no-show, a $50 fee per guest applies. This will be charged to the credit card provided at time of booking.

PARKING
The closest car park is at 34-60 Little Collins Street. We also offer valet parking for $50 and self-parking for $20. Booking is not required for self parking; please drive up to our entrance and speak with our Concierge who will guide you to the carpark.

GIFT CERTIFICATES
Congratulations on receiving a gift to our Afternoon Tea! Please let us know at the time of booking that you are claiming your gift certificate.

Please note that we will request your credit card details at the time of reservation as per our cancellation policy. Should you not wish to leave your credit card with us, please be advised that in the event of a no-show or cancellation within a 48-hour window, the cancellation fee will be deducted from the amount on your gift certificate, and your gift certificate may be forfeited should the amount to cover the cancellation fee be insufficient.
