Dining & Bar In Melbourne CBD
One Eleven is a gathering place for all things culinary, serving an a la carte breakfast in the mornings, and our renowned Afternoon Tea - Melbourne's longest - in the afternoons. At dusk, the lounge is transformed into an inviting bar, serving gin, wine, charcuterie, cheese, a pre-theatre menu and dinner with an Australian focus.
Within the hotel you'll also find the historic Cricketers Bar, a cosy, welcoming space featuring an English-Australian gastropub menu, a selection of tap and craft beers, and spirits and wine. The Windsor is helmed by Executive Chef, Tom Brockbank, and Executive Pastry Chef, Jérémie Parmentier.
The hotel also has an award-winning, one-hat restaurant just five minutes away. Called Sunda _ , it serves modern South East Asian dining by Head Chef, Khanh Nguyen.
Bookings are now open for The Windsor's Christmas feasts with a degustation dinner on Christmas Eve and a festive Buffet Lunch on Christmas Day.
CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON TEA
Each December, our Afternoon Tea takes on a Christmas theme, with a trio of festive delights! Join us for some whimsical fun!
Held in our grand restaurant, our Christmas Eve degustation dinner is a 5-course set menu with free-flowing wine & beverages. The entree includes a hiramasa kingfish ceviche, with aged Great Ocean Road duck and smoked hay for the main. Naturally, we had to include The Windsor's famous Christmas pudding with chestnut cream for dessert! CHRISTMAS EVE MENU
A tradition for many families, our Christmas Day buffet lunch is held in the grand restaurant or Grand Ballroom, with gifts for children under 12, a visit from Santa and carollers on the day. A real Christmas tree perfumes the lobby, bedecked in ribbons for a wonderfully festive atmosphere.
This year we've pulled out the stops, with a live oyster shucking station and a carvery with Christmas favourites including dry-aged roast turkey, Sher Wagyu beef, and acorn-fed ham. There'll be Russet Burbank roasted potatoes, cured meats, and a tempting array of British and French desserts including a Yule Log and Buche de Noel. There'll also be gingerbread men, our famous Christmas pudding, cheeses and a peach melba pavlova created in front of you by our pastry chefs. CHRISTMAS DAY MENU
Christmas bon bons are a wonderful way to start the party, but a great deal of packaging ends up in landfill each year. We didn't want to take away the fun, and as such, traced back the history of the Christmas cracker, which dates back to Victorian times. Then, the cracker was created by confectioners, and so we tasked our Executive Pastry Chef, Jeremie Parmentier, with a fully edible option. We can't wait to surprise you with it this Christmas.
Another wonderful tradition of ours, our Christmas Puddings are made with fruit which spend 15 months soaking in brandy, stout and rum. Christmas pudding sales start on our online gift shop on 11 November.
Gift certificates for our Afternoon Tea and accommodation are now available through our gift shop. We also offer lovely bathrobes, pillows and gift certificates for our one hat modern south east asian restaurant, Sunda. TAKE ME TO THE GIFT SHOP.
