Nabil Ansari has brought us everything from butter chicken and lamb dum biryani to naan and roll-wrapped tandoor things. He'll be staying at The Cricketers Bar for a brief fling - this time taking us on a sojourn to the bustling, smokey streetside stalls of India's bazaars and their many tantalising offerings.
The dishes hail from all over India and pay homage to the local cuisine. But the execution is anything but.
Many are cooked the traditional way, in a fiery tandoor for can't-be-replicated smokiness and char. But Nabil's elevating them with the deftest modern touch - take the Sev Puri garnished in pretty herbs and flowers akin to a luscious Indian garland, or humble hot buttered bread turned into crisp soldiers with a Parmesan accented puree.
Nabil's 'Indian Bazaar' will run on The Cricketers Bar Terrace for a short time only until he returns to Sunda. Reservations are highly recommended, due to caps on diners. A limited selection of seats will be kept for walk-ins. Indoor & outdoor dining available.
