The Concierge at 5 Star Melbourne Hotel

Hotel Guests:

Valet parking is available for $40 per day with unlimited drive-in drive-out privileges until 1pm the following day. Vehicles can remain parked until 6pm for an additional fee of $10. Valet parking services are provided from the hotel's front entrance along Spring Street and our Doorman will be more than happy to arrange parking for you upon arrival. This does not require pre-booking.

In addition to limited street parking (restrictions apply) there are a number of private car parks in close proximity to the hotel, with the closest located on Little Collins Street (turn in from Spring or Bourke Street). Rates vary, and owner onus applies.

Generally travel time to and from the Melbourne airport at Tullamarine by car or taxi is about 30 minutes. The airport bus takes approximately 1 hour. If you are travelling during rush hour add about 10 or 15 extra minutes.

There is a secondary airport at Avalon from which a few domestic flights arrive and depart. Travel time to and from Avalon is about one hour. Add 10 to 15 minutes during rush hour.

Private jets fly in and out of Essendon Airport, which is about 20 minutes from the hotel.

Tipping is not the norm in Australia although it is becoming more common, with patrons regularly tipping in fine dining restaurants. In general you should not feel obligated to tip but if you receive excellent service that you feel is worthy of a tip, your gesture would be welcomed and appreciated.
